Nadine Philp is an Associate Education Ombuds for the Office of the Education Ombuds (OEO). She has worked with OEO since 2024 and is often the first voice you hear when calling OEO. Nadine is a certified mediator and facilitator, and particularly enjoys providing individualized, compassionate support to those in need.
Nadine has a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Political Economics and Social Movements from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. She also received her Master of Science in Conflict & Dispute Resolution from the University of Oregon School of Law in Eugene, OR. She has over seven years of experience in the field of education, and over 8 years of experience serving marginalized communities, including black and brown low-income youth, LGBTQ+ students, and Native Americans experiencing homelessness.
In her free time, Nadine enjoys arts and crafts, nurturing her growing collection of houseplants, and spending time with her loved ones—including her sweet little rescue pup. Nadine is also proudly Turtle Mountain Chippewa and recently learned to sew her first ribbon skirt.
