Bonnelley Pauulu is an Associate Education Ombuds for the Office of Education Ombuds(OEO). She brings 20 years of comprehensive experience in government services, community engagement, and operations management. Before joining OEO, she previously served as the Director of Constituent Services and Protocol for the Office of the Governor in the State of Hawaii overseeing high-stake casework and managing teams across various offices. Bonnelley also served as the Director for the American Samoa Government Office based in Hawaii liaising with government agencies as a conduit for Samoans abroad seeking support to and from the territory of American Samoa. Bonnelley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a Master’s in Management from the University of Phoenix.
Apart from her job, Bonnelley regularly volunteers her time in outreach services providing essential resources to underserved communities in greater need of access to medical as well as educational resources and building partnerships with Pacific Island outreach organizations.
Bonnelley speaks fluent Samoan and interprets different services for Samoan natives abroad, is also conversant in Tongan and speaks some Hawaiian phrases. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting costumes for island performers and travel internationally to explore different cultures. She plans to explore more of Europe every year.
